Radon testing

Your health and safety is the most important thing to consider in any living situation or real estate transaction. McCabe Inspections LLC provides 48hr. Radon Testing to protect your health and investment. Our inspectors were trained at Rutgers University and have AARST-NRPP national certification. Radon gas is an odorless, colorless, naturally occurring radioactive gas. Elevated levels lead to an increased risk of lung cancer. Did you know? Exposure to Radon Gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. The only way to determine the level of Radon gas in your home is to conduct proper testing. We use state of the art Continuous Radon Measurement (CRM) equipment, as well as, charcoal canisters from RTCA. McCabe Inspections LLC follows EPA established protocols and guidelines.

housing quality standards advisement

Demystifying HUDs Housing Quality Standards checklist and up-to-date landlord rental requirements is a unique service provided by McCabe Inspections LLC. It requires a working knowledge of the program, common deficiencies, and our experience as a trained and certified Section 8 Housing Inspector. This type of appointment is recommended for any property owner considering participation in The Department of Housing and Urban Development's Section 8 Housing Program. This advisement will take place at the housing unit or property and include a detailed in-person Walk-through Inspection and a brief 1 page report with up-to 25 digital images.

Pre-purchase home inspection

It’s a well-known fact: The biggest investment that most people make is the purchase of a residential property- Your home. For this reason, upon acceptance of an offer, the buyer (you) makes a conditional promise to complete the sale after a professional Home Inspection. Negotiating specific costs and/ or terms of sale is facilitated by a comprehensive inspection and inspection report the details the homes condition. Our inspectors at McCabe Inspections LLC will reveal the house to our clients and identify maintenance items and defects that are likely to affect the liveability of the house as well as its value. A full 59+ page inspection report with digital images, diagrams, definitions, descriptions, and a prioritized summary is included with every Pre-purchase Home Inspection.

pre-closing home inspection

The Pre-closing Inspection is the opportunity for the buyer (you) to inspect the home prior to closing and ownership. This provision provided in the real estate contract should not be just a quick walk-through. Usually, completed as close to the closing date as possible, our inspector will evaluate the homes overall condition, cleanliness, and check for additional damage. The inspector will also complete a brief but thorough mechanical / maintenance system(s) check to verify that everything is in good, working and in move-in condition. In addition, any repairs or negotiated items in contract will also be verified in a detailed 1-2 page report.

maintenance inspection

Homeowner Maintenance Inspections are becoming more and more popular - at McCabe Inspections LLC, we're aware of this trend and offer this useful service and money saving service to our clients. A maintenance inspection is essentially the same as a standard Home Inspection, but the inspection is done for the current owner. A Maintenance Inspection will help to prioritize a home improvement list and assess the systems, utilities and overall condition of your home. It’s better to find out about small problems (before they turn into big ones) or items of contention during a real estate transaction. A 3-5 page detailed report is included.

four point inspection

A unique service provided by McCabe Inspections LLC. Four Point refers to the Roof, HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems of a house. This type of inspection is similar to an inspection process that insurance companies use to determine overall insurability and condition of home. For a minimal fee, our inspector will perform an inspection of the houses four points (Roof, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) and include a detailed 1-2 page report with up-to 25 digital images.
